Rage Quitters
Rage quitters need to be penalized. Absolutely ridiculous how common rage quitting is. Waiting 10-15+ minutes for a lobby to fill just for players to rage quite 5 minutes into a match after losing their starting force. Players will quit at the slightest chance they begin losing and it's become a total buzzkill.

There needs to be an elo system in place where players are heavily penalized for leaving a match early where constant rage quitting results in a very low elo rating.

Just prohibit rage quitters from using the match maker or joining official servers for 24 hours. I don't care, I'm sick of it. Also it's 2025, unless you live in a third world country, your internet did not cut out. If the game crashed, get a better PC, your problem.

BA has this mechanic but allows for a player to rejoin the session they disconnected from. If a player doesn’t reconnect it’s a timeout for 1 hour. I could agree with a mechanic like that. ELO though, no. There is a significant learning curve to this game, and if it becomes too toxic we’ll end up with lobbies taking hours to fill and the new player base not becoming long term players
A rejoin would be godly but Eugen is what, six games in and they don't have one? I wouldn't bank on it sadly.

Just won one 10v10, I expected to loose. at the end 3vs1 player, mostly AI vs AI. People give up too easily tbh.

The other night I hosted a 4v4, we were up +6 with 2.4k of 4k points to win.

It was 2.4 points to 0. There was 35 minutes left in the match. One of our teammates go pushed out of his zone and quit. Same thing happened to another teammate, he didn't get pushed completely out, but he was losing his threshold in the point; he quit.

We're still up 2.4k points with +4 and two teammates rage quit when they started losing their lanes. We ended up losing the match because of it. People really give up too easily.



On the contrary, another 4v4 match, similar situation. We were up ~2k points of 4k, the enemy team has ~100 points, but everybody stuck it out throughout the match, match ended up being a draw and it was a hell of a match. There have been so many matches were I was on a team that was down or the enemy team was down bad, but stuck it out and actually came back to win or ended in a draw.

It is crazy that people are so fast to surrender the moment that start losing, actually unbelievable. I still can't over the dudes who quit when we were winning 2.4k to 0 against the enemy team. Scenarios like that have happened far too many times.

It's that expectation of instant gratification. Loosing an zone or taking high causulties is the opposite of gratification.

Like I've played the Eugen games thousands of hours, I still many times take horrible k/d, get my entire starting push shot down etc. (I often go high risk high rewards). Some wins are due to other teammates, some loses due to crashes. In the end, imo, what makes an player good is how you adapt to changing circumstances, do you rage quit, team kill or change tactics and adapt. How is your deck designed to accomodate that etc.

Ppl are really focused on the 'status' of winning, bragging about k/d. etc. Only in destruction game mode does k/d really matter.

Lmao, I'd like AI that could leave the spawn zone or stop doing dumb things like rushing grads to the frontline when there's still supply left.

I would love to have it like it was in wargame red dragon (with 1 improvment):

- Guy leaves
- player on top of the list got the units
(Improvment: 1 player can take this units or the closest player on the field gets them)
- income gets splitted to the rest of the remaining player

This was/would be a workable way to deal with leavers that ai incomming is just bad

Man, i hated this in RD.
Suddenly getting saddled with other players units was so annoying. Even a crappy AI control is preferable.
That income thing and increased card availability was ok.

The medium AI plays better than most 10v10 players. Higher would be an advantage to the side with more leavers.

Problem is how to set a timer for people who rage quit.
I have recently just leave whenever I see most of my team being idiotic. Last night I had a game where my teammates choose not to garrison our side of the center points, so they can spam useless mortars, while I been contesting the other team on their side of the center for over 10 minutes.

Don't think there shouldn't be a mechanic put in place because you don't have a stable connection.
