Single Player Experience
Would you recommend this or Regiments? I'm not the best at RTS games, but I enjoyed the historical battles in SD2.

Warno is much bigger game than Regiments, but AI is really stupid and ruins single player experience (and devs do nothing about it)

Tbh for an experienced player like you this might be a problem but for a noob I think that the ai will be overwhelming at first^^

I have been playing for a bit and I am still struggling because I am still not good enough.

Absolutely agree. AI is very stupid.
Regiments for single player.

Definitly Regiment for single player campaign, especially if you want a slightly more unique campaign, instead of a large meta-map where you will fight the same battle over and over.

Warno. You can take your SP skills into MP and vice versa. Also has personality to it. Regiments looks like a soulless permanent EA along with most modern Microprose titles.

yeah try taking your sp skills into multiplayer and see what happens
