Maps are Too Dark
Many of the maps, even when you set them to noon or morning are way too dark, IMO, takes away from the overall look of the game.

For me night battles are nice and very bright to the point where I'm wondering if it's night or day. Only when I zoom in i can't see the actual units so I'd guess it's a graphics issue they might wanna look into.

On the flip side some city maps are so bright even during the night that if I zoom out I can't actually see the boundary of the control zones.

Might be your monitor. I have zero issues with brightness.

Agree, it's a step back from red dragon for readability and clear map structure.
Gameplay comes first. But in this case it seems graphics came first.

I don't have this issue with any other games, using the LG 34GS95QE-B, it's perfect with everything else.

I absolutely agree, definitely noticeable.

Nice, I have a 32" LG, yeah your issue is not the monitor.

I will look though settings. . .

Edit: nothing I can see in settings to change.

Maybe try this mod for the UI issues but for screen brightness I've got nothing.

Thanks for the response, I'm sure Eugen will address this, they're typically good about fixing things, it's as if almost every map now is set in the dark, regardless of what you select, morning, afternoon, etc., they all look the same, I've tested the same map on different daytime settings, no change.

This is essentially what every map looks like, this the brightest one I could find:

The problem is the color palette they picked. It is super dark and boring for me. Everything looks the same. People tried to argument it with: "but it is Germany!". Yes, Germany can be pretty too. I miss the style from SD:44.

My thoughts as well, believe they messed this game up going this direction, I find myself playing SDII a lot more because of the look of the maps.

Just decided to try every map, I have no f'ing idea why Eugen did this, wow, what a way to really completely goat screw the overall look of this game. I bought the expansion, I may seek a refund at this point, don't like the direction of why they're doing this, this should be 100% optional, want to play in the dark, select it, otherwise it should look like it did in the alpha-beta, the maps were bright and clear.

Found a fix, if you go into map editor and change the environment to the death row map, all of the maps look tremendously better, more natural without the over-bloomed colors and they're set in the daytime.

Yes the lightning was much better during early access now its so miserably dark some maps are almost unplayable. I use reshade as a fix!

Yes lighting and grafics quality got worse, and aren´t as nice as they were.
I think devs shout reverse some changes and improve quality, color and contrast.

Huh, I don't think that map is at all dark.
