Pathfinding meme
Pathfinding is really horrible in this game. Units are acting suicidal or taking horrible paths when there are better and safer ones. It really drives me crazy when I see a unit driving into enemy because the AI is having 1 digit IQ.

It feeels really frustrating realizing I need to babysit units to get them to the place I gave them order. In some maps there are positions (zones) where I need to manually control units path to get them with at least a chance for them to survive. And those zones were created by developers so I guess those places should be fine. Thery are not!

Fix it please. Or at least consider your move fast order when creating maps and zones. Or consider not giving your reinforcements som mix of fast move/quick hunt.

They always choose the direct route or if prompted the fastest.
However you could change the setting for pathfinding to "cover" (for inf only), that means they take a longer one route but try to use as much cover as possible

You can adjust the options for the movement so it should work as you want it too. Obviously, they will not avoid possible ambushes and other quirks not possible to implement in such games currently.

Tbf, its one of the few RTS where I absolutely cannot complain on pathfinding.
