Please get rid of forward deployments and have AA provide passive suppression.
Playing 119th in 1v1 feels so bad.
Forward deployed Paras in a city and need like 5 to 1 to dislodge. Stack 3 Strelas and they can't deter or punish a cluster bomber dive. It's just so oppressive. Maybe if SD surrender mechanics came back you could actually clear cities.
IDK Wargame Red Dragon had infantry die too quick, now this game's infantry don't die. I need a Buratino, I need 10 pieces of AA.
Very frustrating.

Infantry dies quickly in open terrain, still pretty quick in forests and slower in buildings/ruins. Thats fine as it is.

The big issue imo with WARNO currently are the repair mechanics. Its possible to just move a tank or infantry squad 50 meters away from the action and have them at full strenght again in a few seconds. The most cheesy mechanic in WARNO currently.

Suggestion: Limit field repairs to 60-80 % of HP, or (more complicated) 50 % of the remaining hp of the unit.

Game tries to be realistic in many regards, but repairing a tank in the field to brand new standard is not.

people may disagree but 119th is not an effective 1v1 deck, its very specialized towards Armour, that specialization is far better suited to larger games where other people can pick up where 119th falls (attacking into towns. a strategy me and a mate use is that i get his SAS to a town by using my 1st armored, he then clears the town, the soviets can use similar teamwork with the 119th)

If you want more tanks, use the 79. / 27. as they xan much more simply better than the 119.

lol this is just RNG? Either the AA hits or it doesn't. I guess that's what you consider skill then lol.

Never tryed to clear a town with tanks. Should this work?

IFV+AA do nice with meatshields in front and a truck behind.

No tanks shouldn't be able to clear a town on their own, with infantry though hey can useful, sit at the end of a cleared street firing down while the infantry push through going door to door. IFVs do with equally as well though with much less risk of an infantry squad sneaking around and hitting your side armor with an AT weapon (they may still do this to an IFV but you lose a lot less than if this happens to a T80)

Should every division just be equally the same on every map and terrain, all perfectly viable in all 1v1 situations?

You end up with Company of Heroes 1 where Germany and USA were effectively mirrored.

Anyone who "mains" is arguably doing it wrong

No, I don't think I ever implied this. But Airborne and forward deployments are so cringe. It's why they're all meta right now. You get a significant advantage from just dumping 5 squads of elite infantry into every sector. No counterplay to this, it takes forever to clear them out. The game is fine when both players don't play like this, but the game totally sucks when you meet decks that do this.
