I attempted the left hook campaign as NATO, (having beat it as Warsaw Pact) I noticed that the Belgians are completely inferior to the Soviets. Does anyone have a good strategy for using Belgian units or should I just use them as meat shields while my Brits lead the charge.

Use them to augment Brits as recon etc. The Leopard1BE is... serviceable at least, but still worse than the T80B by far. Their arty units are pretty standard.

Overall you'll be working around their lack of heavy tanks + not having a ton of ATGMs. Use the Brits in those roles instead and you should be ok.

Yeah those Leopard 1's get wiped out in very high numbers, a 7/7 tank battalion looks good on paper but it just doesn't cut it. I have alot more experience with Pact so I am not as familiar with the lighter IFV's the Belgians use and their strengths/weaknesses.
