WARNO
Fortifications and breakthrough mode
With the setting of the big red steamroller of the Warsaw pact throwing itselvs against prepared defensive positions of NATO/the free world´s stand;
I´m missing the earthworks, trenches, fortified gun- and vehicle positions to give the feeling of a breakthrough struggle - as much of the anticipated development of an open conflict would/could be...
This is obviously a part of Steel division, so I expect it to be part of the game here as well. Just a reminder for the hard working development team - thanks!

I’m hoping they add this as well. I enjoyed placing fortifications in SD2 in breakthrough and army general.

Didn't play much of Steel Division, but I did dabble in the breakthough type mode. Hope too it's brought into Warno.

without a frontline gamemode like SD2 I dont think they can really add this in

Fortifications are definitely not needed for what’s available now in Warno. But once a campaign or army general is added, fortifications will be a necessary addition. Even adding a breakthrough game mode would require the need for these.

I would love to see a higher need for engineers in modern RTS. Engineers are crucial on the modern battlefield. Being able to build tank ditches, C wire, trenches, AT emplacements and hull down tanks are all part of NATO doctrine to delay enemy armor advances. Implementing these features in Warno would add an interesting defensive mechanic to delay your enemy and give players an option to play defensively.
