"Early Access" business model is a grift and a scam. Don't patronize it.
There's "not much reason" for him to try out a good game he hasn't played yet?
RD is still populated and even if it weren't singleplayer campaigns exist and they aren't bad.
But yeah, Red Dragon has a better balance, much much more singleplayer campaigns (even though more are coming to warno in the future), naval combat gameplay (which I think is refreshing), better map variety (from desert to beach landings, from forest to
coastline villages) and much more units.
If you're mainly a single player guy, RD has much more content as of today, if you enjoy multi, I would chose warno as jumping in a decade od game multi with a long progression curve is tough, there's plenty of new players on your level in warno, not so much in rd
hope it helped you
I played the hell out of Red Dragon and it was my favorite RTS until Warno came out.
Warno looks better, better visuals and effects, plays better, has better quality of life which together all make for a better experience. It's the latest in the series which is going to be the forefront for updates and contents. If you bought RD, you're essentially buying a game that is no longer being supported or getting updates.
I think the Division systems in Warno diversifies and balances game play compared to RD where players can have all of the most powerful units in their decks.
Overall, I would recommend Warno over Red Dragon.
Warno has all skill levels.
I sure that separation like tank deck, motorisation deck, mech, avia were more flexible and interesting for deck building and playing than current one.
However, the most crucial problem for game is lack of content. Developers make absolutely useless posts about rebalancing decks with really few unique vehicles instad of adding new nations, vehicles that can expand amount of unique user experience.
So If you ask me about what I want to see in game this is just create instrumants for adding mod supportion to game with custom 3d models and maps. They already said about map editing, but about models - I hear nothing. So warno -has perspective to be better than red dragon, but it`s requires significant amount of content and mod supportion.
