You can read article above. It says that ERA is effective against kinetic.

Article from 2022 using a mini scale does not mean ♥♥♥♥ when the context is 1989 early ERA designs.
Also it's all simulations and nothing real.

Without supporting some really shady claims of soviet general superiority in regard to technology and speculative war scenarios, given the cited article it seems true that versions of ERA are able to be effective against kinetic force. So please don't move the goalpost by saying that produced ERA plates never had the quality to defend against kinetic rounds in the first place. The original claim was a general claim not a logistical or quality claim. This said it may be the case that the cited article could be wrong, but to this point I have no reason to think otherwise, especially without good counterevidence which doesn't rely on anecdotal evidence and vast generalization.

The T-80U in-game is supposed to represent the early variant with Kontakt 1 ERA.

The T-80UD is the one with Kontakt-5. Hence the models and different armor values.

the K-1 verison is very rare, K-5 used in common so it's nonsense to put the K-1 verison

I'm sure you're able to provide a source for that. Early T-80Us made in Kharkiv were not equipped with K-5 but rather with K-1.
