[TUTORIAL] how to make IFV follow it’s infantry
I’m just providing a just a small tip to make your IFV follow and fight alongside any infantry since I’ve never seen anyone mention it here.

To make your IFV follow your infantry you can’t right click on your infantry since the game will understand that you want to embark troops in your IFV, instead you have to select your IFV then from the panel order on the bottom right select the "move" order and click on your infantry.

Hope this helps.

Dude, thank you soo much!

Many people were asking for this. We just thought it wasn't possible to do it!

I have assigned a hotkey to the move action for easier use without the clicking. Would recommend.

thanks, but anyway this is a bit... micro-intensive.

From my experience it also works odd when you order squad to follow squad. Then squad follows not entire squad but 1 specific unit of squad.

I guess it’s still better than monitoring constantly if your IFV is going too ahead than it’s infantry

It's good to use it sometimes, but unfortunately the combat vehicle is very close to the infantry. If you proceed in this way, for example, through the forest and meet enemies, practically the first thing that will happen is that they will destroy your combat vehicle. In this regard, it would be better if the vehicle could keep more distance.
You want your IFV at least 100m behind your infantry but going backward. Do not send them in front on your infantry. If one get destroyed then your infantry will have lower morale. Also have one MBT nearby for fire support in the event your IFV need to fall back to your main line. Infantry needs to find cover and retreat in cover. If you're doing a mechanized assault then you need two IFV and one MBT to cover infantry. Do not send your armor units to go hunting. They're there to protect your infantry.

Wouldn't it be better, to put a HUNT order, tho? Would this also work?
When you put a hunt order they try to embark the vehicule so no unfortunatly i would have liked it this way too.
