Building Destruction
Towns getting destroyed ruin the tactical play of town fights for me. you have these interesting fights around buildings and sight lines and then it turns into an los blocking no cover spam fest as the town inevitably gets bombarded as the game goes on. I understand that buildings would be destroyed but why can I not garrison ruins? I think we have plenty of IRL examples of ruined building providing cover. maybe reduce the bonus building provide or lower the sight line of the taller buildings? if you allow the garrisoning of ruins town fights would be a lot more interesting and have the added benefit of reducing the power of artillery.

Yeah, you should be able to garrison ruins, it's literally the benefit of defending built up areas irl that even when bombarded the ruins are still good cover.

maybe something like 33% of the original cover and stealth value for ruined buildings if you garrison infantry in them.

That seems a fair compromise!
Destroying a building should kill everyone inside it.

Sure, but it should be possible to garison the ruins after...

I can't see it anywhere but since one of the recent patches buildings are -60% dam,age and ruins are about -30%

The main issue with ruins was the LOS tool did not work. There have been changes to the LOS tool but no idea if that has been fixed. It's all in the last couple patch notes for people who want to dig.
Your units can hide in the rubble.

we are talking here about a system comparable to units entering a building, not just units without any LOS

Agreed, destroyed buildings should still offer decent protection
