B-2 max payload, 40,000lb, plus stealth that way better than the F-117s. Mariage IV max payload 20,000lb no stealth. Plus B-2 are based in Missouri, take weeks of planning to get the payload and fuel tankers ready for the B-2 to fly a mission. something that would not happen for a CAS role. It really doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out why a B-2 would not be on scrambled notice to provide CAS on the battalion level.
B52 max payload, 70,000lb. You can already level towns with the mariage IV's 20,000lbs of payload. 20,000lb of bombs is already devastating The B-52 would have almost triple the payload to make it balance the B-52 I would imagine coast around 500 points (assuming since the mariage IV is around 400 cant remember the exact number). but the B-52 is big and slow making a hug target for sams and fighters. meaning its a huge point investment for a hug risk and for something other aircraft can do for much cheaper. IRL B-52s would never be dropping gravity bombs on a battlefield. Their role was to carry cruise missiles and launch them while still remaining outside of contested airspace. You'd never see them in a CAS role in contested skys.
You can already do that.
england has that bomber with 14000 bomblets or whatever, pretty much a flying burratino from red dragon - point, click, 20 houses and anything inside them - just gone. Infantry clearing perfected.
And then those houses burn down to ash.
Maybe they should have an FAQ sticky thread that has answers for a wide range of "frequently asked questions" that people can be linked to when asking said questions... Frequently. If it's already been asked a bunch of times then as new people join, logically, they will too ask said questions in a similar frequent fashion.
Most people do not live on these forums, with game owners maybe visiting once or never at all. The steam forum / discussion board system is a little bit not user friendly to new people, it archives threads quickly and while there's an obvious search method on the side it will involve digging. People are lazy. You're not going to change the steam discussion board format in a hurry, an FAQ thread wound mitigate your issues.
Or from a personal mental health perspective you could ignore the thread, it seems to have annoyed you and as we've established it's an inevitable certainty that these questions will occur now and in the future... This means you're going to be perpetually annoyed. Which, now knowing this, makes it a you problem to continue engaging in a scenario where you know the outcome is both negative for you and entirely avoidable.
Or to be proactive and helpful, you could maybe create a txt document and just start adding to it various questions you see asked and answered a lot over time. Before you know it, you will have some sort of monolithic document you could then edit and format then make a thread and others could add to it and whatnot which could then form an FAQ thread that you could link people to when they ask questions... frequently... One would hope the Devs would do that, but they seem to have only made one for questions about other nations, as well as struggling to create the game apparently.
Or just continue to comment with variations of "How many times has to answered the same sh*t?" while being annoyed as you are now. I'm sure that in no way helps add to the reputation of this community being a little bit toxic. Not to mention contributing in a small way hindering the community, which is tiny and struggling, from growing into a larger community resulting is more multiplayer games / content being added / game lasting longer and being more enjoyable. You are the master of your own destiny after all, far be it from me to control your actions, I was just spit balling ideas.
Food for thought.
