Sound glitch needs to be fixed
Lets be honest, anyone familiar with code knows how easy it should be to fix this. People use cheats or just literally listen to ground in multiplayer games to kill FOBs and it is such an awful game experience. I don't want to go around listening ground just to have a chance at winning....

actually the mechanics of sound is very very good, if you want to play artillery it forces you to be aware of your units, so you won't be able to pay attention on the battlefront, you have to find a balance, hunting artillery units requires practice not It is so easy, you have to familiarize yourself with the sounds of each artillery piece, there are more than 3 strategies to make your units very very difficult to track, it seems to me that it is a mechanic that moderates artillery a lot and that it requires a learning to do it correctly and fluently, the trick is to specialize and let the enemy trust

Move left and sound goes right = unit right of camera.
Move forward and sound goes backward = unit behind camera.

It's literally just spatial awareness.

The specific arty type doesn't matter, because you're going to fire on the same area where the sound stopped, regardless of what unit that is.

This is not intended gameplay or an active balance choice made by the developers.

What you say is partly true, if you know how to say A,B,C it doesn't mean you know how to read, WARNO's artillery is not RED DRAGON's artillery, Warno's artillery requires more complex strategies than [shoot + shift + move ] I do not doubt that at first it was a programming error, but they have already said that it will not be removed, so we can now call it another game mechanic, over time this mechanic will become an art that will not be within reach Of all, trying to catch the artillery even a good gunner will become one more challenge in the game. In my humble opinion the mechanics are very good.

The problem is not the just the arty units. The fobs will have a lot of traffic near them. Once you kill fobs you are significantly more likely to win.

It seems obvious that there is no need to reload the artillery units next to the FOW, it seems better to move the supply trucks, but that is basic, I already tell you that there are 3 or 4 options to camouflage the sounds very well and that It is difficult for the enemy gunner to hunt you down.

Why are you assuming I move them next to the FOB ? I actually use helis to move supplies because when they land they make the least noise because the engines stop. Still your friendlies might move their trucks around it.

dont buy fobs and get an extra supply unit. buy tanks. win

When high ranked players say things along the line of “yeah, he is listening to my units. He knows exactly where my forces are”, it is an issue.

Why cant we get a response on this? Why do we need idling engines in the game? And if anyone says "immersion" they can **** themselves

They should leave it because it forces Commanders to balance their forces.

What?
And when you buy 2 artillery pieces for support, use them, move them and they still get discovered and destroyed because an idiot on the other side does nothing but sound locate? That forces me to balance my forces?

A much better way of balancing artillery would be to require the arty to spend a small amount of time "packing up" after shooting before being able to move, giving the opponent a small window to counter-battery. This would encourage more risk versus reward assessment of using arty against non-arty units.

The idea that the sound exploit is intentional design is laughable. Eugen simply claims that it is intentional because they do not want to admit that they lack the ability and talent to change it.

They had Eugen maps devs on SD League Twitch stream, I asked about it and they acknowledged the bug and said they are working on it. At about 1:14:30

Really? Let's hope they actually follow through on that. They have a tendency to say or promise things and then not do them.
