Its mind boggling why levels are in the game to begin with. In EE they sort of made sense since you had to unlock units, but since then it has only destroyed MP games.
And as you have said, leveling does nothing, if you play is for having fun and improve because there is nothing to grind for or any kind of reward to trying to win a game other than just winning.
Thing is like I said, you can simply reset your level to 0 with a 1000 hours into the game so no this is not a good thing.
and losing or winning game does not mean anything, just try to play as well as you can and it should be enough, no need to be sad if you lose to better player.
Something great that'll never happen would be to slightly nerf the higher level individual players (resulting in the entire team of pub stompers being slightly nerfed) when there is a disparity between sides... or slightly buff the players that have the lower actual rank/hours in-game etc... perhaps similar to how the different AI levels get buffed or nerfed in starting income and rate of income.
That would at least make matches a little more fair and increase the challenge for higher level players, although it seems a lot of players really don't want a challenge or else why would they pub stomp in the first place...
Yet the R6Siege had good feature K/D ratio, interesting feature.
I like Wargames, SD, Warno. But playing only against AI. I am causal and totaly bored waiting fir match just to get kicked.
Thing is, I bet you actively would encourage those same noobs to be against you so you could stomp them into oblivion. This game needs a match maker for lobbies to randomize teams. Since eugen is dead set on levels you could even match it to mix levels for an even playing ground which would suck at first but then would even out once the levels even out from the players that have just been stacking matches for wins.
The forums screamed and howled as if were the end of the world. People complained that they had no idea whether or not a teammate was a vet or a noob. People screamed and gnashed their teeth that they had no idea if their opponents were about to team-stack them or not.
Devs are basically in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. The core problem is that the gaming community as a whole accepts this myth that "High Levels=Good Player / Low Levels = Bad Player", even though the stark reality is that levels only how many games a player has under their belt, win or lose.
