Advantages and disadvantages of WARNO vs Wargame

Thought this would be an interesting topic since the two are often compared.

Me personally, I see almost no disadvantages on WARNOs end when compared to Wargame.

The only thing Wargame has against WARNO is its larger variety of units and countries, but that comes with Wargame being a sandbox type of game, with settings and countries that make no sense, such as Yugoslav soldiers fighting in Korea, or Czechoslovaks fighting in Sweden.
We will miss units such as the F-14 and the USMC, but if in real life they were not deployed to Germany, then what can Eugen say about it?

I see the direction to restricting in-game units to only those that were actually deployed to Germany or would realistically be deployed in that time frame as a step in the right direction, away from the sandbox feel, more based in reality, and makes it interesting to use real-life divisions.

The smaller scale, more similar to SD titles, was a relief to see, as I did not find the huge battles and micromanagement going on in Wargame to be so fun all the time.
At times it was, but I stayed away from larger maps and stuck to the smaller ones to avoid that sort of issue.

Generally, I feel WARNO has much better AI and gameplay, no big spam mess games, as every Wargame match was basically just plane spamming, helo rushing, or sending 300 tanks across the map at once. Though if that is what you liked, then that is up to you.

There is a better attention to detail in graphics and units, though that partially automatically comes with WARNO being a much newer game

WARNO lacks naval units, even just small river ships, but to be honest, most of us never cared for that much in Red Dragon either way.

Most of what I see about Wargame is the larger variety of units, but that is pretty much the only reason to play Wargame over WARNO. They are both fine games either way

Most ppl like WRD over WARNO cus 'ohhh wow I can play my favourite unit from 1990s of my favourite country' and dont bother about the fact that Poland and Germany fighting in 1980's Corea with Eurocopter Tigers and PT-91 Twardy.
