Divisions

Got this game when it entered early access, got disappointed by no content, put it on shelf. Decided to give it another try.
0 lobbies, which are not 10v10 definitely show the progress i guess...

Anyway, my question is why does NATO have 12 divisions, and Pact just 7? 5 countries for NATO, 2 for Pact.
No S-13 helos for Puct, but hey, have some Cobra with Zuni!

Because:
A/ there were much more NATO countries than Pact.
B/ there were much more NATO arms producers than Pact (basically, using Soviet equipment)
C/ the game is set in central Germany andfeature nations involved there.

Also, to add something of relevance, the Pact divisions are all more generally suited for a number of varied situations - even the airborne division gets heavy tank support. The NATO divisions are much more specialized in their roles and can either excel in the right scenario, or struggle greatly in the wrong match-up.

Why the reason for little variety on PACT? If you look at the PACT soldiers that were deployed to the DDR in real life, there was mostly just NVA and Soviet troops. They did not have bulgarians, hungarians, romanians etc deployed to Germany.

If it makes you feel any better, they have stated they will add Poland and Czechoslovakia as a DLC in the future. Since they were never deployed there, but in the event of a war breaking out, surely they would send troops as they are neighbors to the DDR

not as much of a bias, just expressed my impressions from what i saw, is this a crime really


also i have a question why Su-27S is more expensive than F-15? F-15 has F&F and more ECM, which are main stats for ASF
is this an oversight or am i missing something? doubt short range missiles amount worth more than ECM and F&F

The 39th Motostrelki and 35th Desantno-Shturmovaya divisions both have Mi-24V with S-13 rockets.

There really weren't that many variations of TO&E by division, at least in the major equipment and organizational differences department.

I mean there'll be more PACT later on but I think it's fair to assume NATO will always have more divisions (and variety) than PACT, just is what it is due to how thing were, there just isn't as much soviet eqp as there is NATO. And they can't really implement all possible interesting soviet / ddr divisions quite yet.
Atleast NORTHAG DLC will probably have to feature a division or two from both soviets and eastern germans on top of polish divisions.
SOUTHAG? Yea if I had to guess we'll get atleast one soviet div there on top of the czechoslovak divisions

EDIT: obviously number of combinations for equipment creates a ♥♥♥♥ ton of divisions but i guess they have to be sorta based on reality and i don't have enough knowledge/data on whether eugen *could* make enough interesting soviet divisions to provide more for now

but to listen to feedback, it has to be there
i feel like pact divisions lack in diversity, despite the fact there's a lot of different equipment available at the time

And? As mentioned by MadMat, ГСВГ and Folksarmee primary consists of same units -- T-64/72/80, BMP-1/2, Mi-24. So no reason for bunch of identical divisions. There's no bias at all.
