However, regarding your point on the M249s: LSW can be fired while infantry moving, and they can be used as CQB weapons. Other machine guns can not. LSWs are assault weapons; machine guns are static weapons.
In my opinion, problem of M249 is not relevant to CQC trait. The real problem is, M249 is not "normalized" among cqc weapons. Standard CQC light support gun should have 25% acc, 399 rpm. However M249 has 19% acc (I don't know why it is not 20% but eugen didn't fixed it about half an year) and 300 rpm which means it is pretty underperforming among CQC support guns.
