And other Mig-27s with the same gun stats are significantly cheaper. The version with two Kh-29T missiles is only 175 points, for example.
And having the R-60s is nice, but rarely useful. There are also many other ground attack aircraft with short-range missiles that are far cheaper.
They don't work because A) that's what happens in early-access games and B) because LGBs were hilariously broken in Red Dragon, and Eugen isn't just copy-pasting features from previous games (despite the paradoxical complaints / demands of the loud few).
Also, I fail to see how LGB's in WARNO are going to be any different from the ones in WG:RD. When you do get them to work, they home in on whatever you targeted and then destroy it. That's the same as how they worked in WG:RD.
For now, having the plane enter within AA range of target - drop its payload, then perform an incredibly wide turning maneuver only to get blown out of the sky is not worth the cost for me to have these units in my decks. Let alone the long resupply time on these planes.
These are niche meme units in my opinion - for now. Let's see if Eugen improves them.
Plus Eugen often puts very goofy load-outs on planes. Plane load-out customization linked to a price calculation would be super cool but such innovations seem unlikely to happen.
