Will planes like the F-22 and B-2 be added? What about a B-52?

Wondering what possible NATO bombers/stealth planes will be added. Also was wondering if the F-18 is a possibility.

In terms of the US I think the F-18 is/was only ever a Navy asset. Canada has them but without digging around I don’t know if the Canadians had them in the timeframe. I think the B-52 has been discussed before and it’s been excluded from the game (I suspect that’s because it’s more of a strategic platform rather than tactical). Although it can provide close air support I think it might be a bit overpowering for this game given the enormous payload it can carry.

The Marines have several aviation squadrons that are still servicing their F-18's. The Marines are slowly phasing out F-18's for F-35B's.

You’re correct, being British I group the Navy and Marines together but I shall have to apologise to all Americans on the forum as the Marines are a separate arm of the services there. Doesn’t really make a difference to the answer though, the US Marines don’t feature in the game (unless the devs choose to add them in future)

Yea, would be cool to see marines in this game. Even if they are more closely associated with amphibious operations, I'm sure they can find use in this game.

Yes ... I might have amalgamated them with the Navy. ;)

But anyway, Fulda is plain center of continental Germany, no naval units of any kind are featured there.

Um, it's a surveillance aircraft so would only be providing recce information. Plus, you'd have to zoom out to the point that the map would be the size of a postage stamp on your screen to be able to see the aircraft

I mean, it can always be simliar to the off-map artillery system except repurposing that SD2 system to be off-map recon which could be intercepted/jammed. Not sure how they'd implement a counter to it but I'm sure they can find a way.

How about a Norway Map with US Marines ?

Andoya or Bodo would have been Soviet Invasion targets to secure airfields and flight lanes for their naval bombers.

US Marines might have been used in an attempt to recapture those.

That is if you are not limiting WARNO to CENTAG Area Forces...
