M1 and T-80 price imbalance?
The cheapest M1 abrams, lot cheaper than the cheapest T-80B.
The abrams is More accurate, better front armor, much more ammunition, and its even a bit faster
60 points cheaper? wtf?
In general the abrams tanks are a lot cheaper than the T-80s
The next step up, T-80BV, only has better armor than the M1 by 2 armor points, and is 80 points more expensive

Abrams pricing looks pretty weird, 140 M1, 235 M1A1, 305 M1A1 [HA], why the massive differences? The base abrams should be more expensive or something to fill the massive price differences and as i said its basically better or about the same as the T-80B and greatly cheaper

You can't compare 100mm and 120mm cannon

The damage is basically the same to the T-80, a one point difference, and very minor amount of range difference

Dude, my Abrams suck. The cheapest version of the Abrams literally gets taken out in like one shot constantly. I almost always play as the American mech. infantry division. Those are pretty much the main tanks that I'm allowed to get. If anything, I think the Abrams are a little bit underpowered but the better Abrams which are the upgraded ones, definitely feel a lot more powerful which is fine but they cost almost double what the regular ones cost.

And if we've learned anything from watching the news over the past few months, t80s suck. They're also relatively expensive

There is definitely something wrong with the balance of tanks in general

Pricing makes no sense and the M1 which is supposed to be equivalent to the T-80 can be subpar at times despite what the numbers say, with an incredibly wild price difference depending on what version of the M1
According to a quick google search the base M1 is 4.3 million, with the Base T-80(Let's take T-80B as T-80) around 3 million

If anything the M1 should be more expensive, but for game balance reasons it should at least be about the same price, not greatly cheaper

They honestly need to rework tank pricing in general

T80 has higher range (both gun and missiles) and penetration. Maybe the price could be brought closer, but I don't think it's horrible. Against the better Abrams though the missiles are pretty bad even if they do hit (T80B has 45%)..

all t80 are garbage

look at their hit chance, they miss miss miss miss miss, cant hit a barn from the inside, while 1 abrams can take out 2 t80bv easy, while being 5 points cheaper.

also the atgm is also weak, most maps are filled with shotblockers, and when u can get a long range shot, it takes 3 years for the missile to arrive, and when it finally does it misses cuz guess what, it has abominable hit chance.

funny how the best pact factions are the ones that dont have t80s lel

I swear the T-55 are snipers, always get the kill, i don't really use the t-72 from ddr much tbh but the T-55 are crazy accurate with max veterancy.

In ALB and Early RD the T80 was 130 or so. Much overpriced.
And IRL it was overpriced to build for the performance.
I'd say it adds flavor. Gas Turbine engine only has couple advantages.

From what i can gather, accuracy is not factored into the unit price, and this makes Nato units extremly powerful. You don't believe me? Let me explain.

In a situation where all units have 100% hit chance, Nato vs Pact seems ok'ish, but when miss chance is applied a units armor basically fluctuates, from lets say 20 to infinity, you have 20 armor if you get hit and you have infinite armor if the enemy misses. Pact units, not only tanks have overall lower accuracy than nato units, so this makes them have infinite armor and life for a lesser amount of time, which gives them a lower value.

TLDR: Integrate accuracy into the final price of each and every unit. (tank, inf, aa, planes, etc.)

Yeah I was playing as west germany, those real cheap tanks m48 leopard 1a1 1a5 etc, though weaker are pretty damn accurate relative to their price and stuff

Devs have already stated that this will happen (most likely several times before and after full version release).

On the tank topic, what i would like to know is if all atgm's have the same speed?

They feel like they move/fly so slow that in most cases its just better to close the distance and take a normal shot rather than use the ATGM, which also has whoping 30% or so accuracy.

some are faster, i think the kokkons on the BMP3 generally fly faster and straighter to its target, but i forgot if accuracy scales with range so the closer you get the more accurate they become, which is slightly counterproductive since you want to use the ATGM for its range, not get closer so you have more accuracy, doubly worse on PACT tanks since the range where ATGMs are used are just slightly farther than the gun itself
