And if we've learned anything from watching the news over the past few months, t80s suck. They're also relatively expensive
Pricing makes no sense and the M1 which is supposed to be equivalent to the T-80 can be subpar at times despite what the numbers say, with an incredibly wild price difference depending on what version of the M1
According to a quick google search the base M1 is 4.3 million, with the Base T-80(Let's take T-80B as T-80) around 3 million
If anything the M1 should be more expensive, but for game balance reasons it should at least be about the same price, not greatly cheaper
They honestly need to rework tank pricing in general
look at their hit chance, they miss miss miss miss miss, cant hit a barn from the inside, while 1 abrams can take out 2 t80bv easy, while being 5 points cheaper.
also the atgm is also weak, most maps are filled with shotblockers, and when u can get a long range shot, it takes 3 years for the missile to arrive, and when it finally does it misses cuz guess what, it has abominable hit chance.
funny how the best pact factions are the ones that dont have t80s lel
And IRL it was overpriced to build for the performance.
I'd say it adds flavor. Gas Turbine engine only has couple advantages.
In a situation where all units have 100% hit chance, Nato vs Pact seems ok'ish, but when miss chance is applied a units armor basically fluctuates, from lets say 20 to infinity, you have 20 armor if you get hit and you have infinite armor if the enemy misses. Pact units, not only tanks have overall lower accuracy than nato units, so this makes them have infinite armor and life for a lesser amount of time, which gives them a lower value.
TLDR: Integrate accuracy into the final price of each and every unit. (tank, inf, aa, planes, etc.)
They feel like they move/fly so slow that in most cases its just better to close the distance and take a normal shot rather than use the ATGM, which also has whoping 30% or so accuracy.
