so.. is it possible to actually "romance someone" with Keen Eye & Book Smart?

I don't wanna know too much or look up a guide. but I thought I did things right with Stella, but she seems distant after I got into Ep 3&4. So for "Question part 2", you could say what I wanna actually ask is "is it possible to romance Stella with Keen Eye & Book Smart?"

also addendum question: does the "Playing The Field" achievement hinder your ability to properly romance people?

I've messaged both Stella and Kaneeka in Episode 3 and it doesn't seem to impede romancing either of them.

Do you spend the night at Stella's in Episode 1? Do you walk with her to the mines in Episode 2? Hang out with her in Episode 3? Is Gretchen still alive?

well, this string of questions may have solved some things, uh.

-Gretchen died

-100% sure I spent the night at Stellas since I remember breakfast scene

-Not sure on my memory about "walking to the mines on episode 2" with her. It's more like, Kaneeka and Stella both went to follow the teens, I linger a bit on the entrance to call Tabitha as courtesy..? Are you talking about how I arrived to the mines in the first place? Edit: OK NOW I remember. I am pretty sure when I first arrived to the mines, Kaneeka said "did you two have a nice walk?" so that's checked off. thank god.


-"Hang out with her in Episode 3"... that also I'm not sure about. I may try to hang out with her when I can, but yeah, I still often impulsively click "explore" over anything else.

Thanks for the pointers though, I might just re-play the game, or remember to pay extra attention to these opportunities in Ep 2 & 3!!

also huh. neat. but I thought this achievement means not just texting them both, but also telling Avery the secret of what happened? kinda having the coffee date?

Short answer: Yes, you can romance her with Book Smart & Keen Eye. Hot traits just make it easier, but they are in no way mandatory for any romance so far.

Gretchen being alive will help a lot (not mandatory though). Other than that, she likes a go-getter, reckless type like her. Someone with an adventurous spirit, is very open, and of course a nice person all around. She's not into spoilsport, wet noodle, milquetoast types. Also, doesn't like snitches.

Its not really about the attributes (Hot only makes it easier). Your choices/dialogue determine the end result; specifically with Stella, if Gretchen lives it is much more advantageous to a romance with her. One of the other discussion threads did the actual numbers breakdown of which choices give a plus or minus to the possibility of romance with Stella.

I probably won't actually check or use it until I feel like I'm really stuck, but yeah it'd be nice!

NVM, I think I confused it with Kaneeka's instead. if you open up the files of the game you can see what the plus/minus of each romance are (I would, however I am always worried about screwing something up with the files and scripting)
