So absolutely no reason to pre-order?
SOLDIER Materia Set
Makes three materia: Dark Fire, Dark Thunder, and Dark Blizzard available early in the game.
Since I can unlock these later?

these 3 materia are crafted items only. They do not unlock by default and are not part of regular gameplay. By the time you unlock them in a normal playthrough, they are extremely weak and do nothing with most enemies immune to their effects.
I believe at least one of them requies completing all the series 7 missions which cannot even be completed until the game is basically over..
Receiving them right at the start of the game is more of a benefit than you think.

So basically endgame wise they're useless. Got it ty :cskel:
I'll wait for a steep sale, I loved playing it on my PSP back in the day but too many AAA games releasing lately gotta start saving
That and Squeenix kinda been leaving a bad taste in my mouth the way they've been handling things sadly to say with as much as I love FF.

Really? I played +200h on PSP CC ,and i can tell you that i finished game on normal diff just by using Dark Thunder. I don't want to argue, but if i remember correctly game is preety easy to beat( at least story mode and some side missions) .

it's a less than 20 hour game,
did you try using a basic attack instead of spamming dark thunder for 400 damage?
lol

Magic in Crisis Core are useless in end game back in PSP. But the remastered, we still dunno will be useful or useless

So these pre-order bonusses are still obtainable the same way as in the "old" PSP version and the pre-order serves as a "shortcut" to them?

(@Jubejubes makes it sound to me like they are not available during most of the game and when they are they arent of much use. Why were they in the PSP game then or was it just bad reward design?)

Nah, not worth it at all.

Not to mention, the OST will just release on Spotify or any other music streaming platform.

And since it seems they didn't fixed these issues with the original, yes. I remember that when I got them I had all the Firaga and Thundaga materias and I didn't need these anymore XD. They felt weak and just meh.

Yes. XD I only got the game on pre-order because I want it, but frankly, the best pre-order bonus would be a 10% off for the game.
