North have perpetual shade from the rain
Mutants usually jump out from sludge ponds, not getting too close is an option. If they do aggro you, running to nearby Trancendum patrol / camp and using Slasher E to go invisible will usually be enough to pit them against each other.
Random lightning strike . . . just keep walking / running and keep your eyes peeled i guess, Trancendum lightning towers will keep a small area around them lightning-free, while Bat form will prevent getting hit by lightning, but you'll no longer have shade from the rain.
There is plenty of shade, but you sometimes need to pull enemies to them. Again I used a horse to pull enemies and soften them up with full speed attacks before jumping off to finish them off.
If you find the lightening strikes harsh switch your powers and use the double dash ability and use weapons that give you an additional 'dash like' strike.
Dont forget resistance potions and capes, they give you some breathing room.
And lastly, dont forget that you can pull some enemies into other enemies and let them fight it out then mop up the survivors if you need to.
The glaives e stealth ability, and the greatsword q dash can really help you gain distance to deaggro if you get knocked off the horse, or perhaps get to wolf form incase your horse gets killed.
Getting a good creature or even mutant blood (has bonus resistance as well) can help further with the increased movement speed. Good creature bloods are "easily" found in the phantom forest...you could try the east snowy area too though. I think creature blood is superior overall. If you are planning a kill everything run warrior blood is probably best.
Fighting wise, my favourite for all trash mobs is spam skeletons spells...but you need a certain gem for the skull bolt ability to add a debuff that tags nearby enemies as condemned (even better if it has 2 bolt per cast), this make bone explosion spawn skeletons without needing things to die. This helps keep them distracted while you land aoe weapon skills to kill them, or just keep running.
If you don't have that gem though...Aegis/Bloodrage or Bloodrite will make you alot tankier and just greatsword mow most little in your face things down.
Movement speed/snaring/remove negative effect gems are nice if you have them I guess.
The south too much sun area, try to stay in the town/big factory area, has mats in containers and shadey areas to reset sun counter. I think you can keep stealthing/dashing around to loot boxes and just ignore the too annoying mobs.
The thunder area...I think is kinda easier cause it's constantly shady, and I find mob clusters a lot less overwhelming/annoying overall. That area I think "needs" a bit of a higher gear level though if I recall?
The enemies I watch out for are flamethrower guy, big drill machine, massive mutant, they have big hits.
Keep stacks of healing potions, and don't be stingy with them keep your self topped up, and conserve your good quality blood, so that you just save time not having to revisit the area again lol.
Good call. I still need to make a habit of checking out the lycan village ig for high blood ppl. Oh btw I wanted to ask, do enemies' stay alive if you don't kill them? I know it sounds stupid, but it's about blood lvls. For example, yesterday I saw a high blood lvl nun who was walking close to the iron mine. I was riding in that area and I saw her again. This happened with other enemies too. So do they not 'reset' or do they stay there?
Depending on the answer, I'll kill all the lycan villagers so I reroll their blood lvls.
For my spells I use the chaos volley and bone shield cos I saw it recommended. I really dig the shield, and the summoning gameplay in general. I wanna look more into that.
Same thing with the greatsword. I heard there's a tank/sustain build with the greatsword and that sounds really fun to try. For most bosses I just use the crossbow with the skills I mentioned above and it's actually been manageable. Some bosses are harder than others. Like The stone lady and Jade were jokes. Not sure how a melee build would work since a lot of bosses are highly mobile and the movement in this game is pretty restrictive. From the speed, to the spells...etc.
For healing potions, do you mean the healing salves you make in the alchemy lab? Did find them helpful in some boss fights.
Currently my gear is the best I can get without going into GR. My lvl is 61 and I defeated all the bosses I can before doing the GR ones.
Oh and have a few more Qs if you don't mind:
What areas do you find yourself raiding the most with your servants? And how much time do you set for the raid? Asking because I'm not sure what materials will become important later on. For example the starting forest area's mat don't seem that important later on, except maybe the sulfur. Also want to know what type of blood to keep an eye out so it matches the areas I wanna run in the future.
Another question is how important/good are the broken weapons that you can reconstruct later? And what stats to look out for when it comes to them? I can farm them pretty easily off of Jade so that's why I ask. Is the next tier of 'standard' weapons better? (by standard I mean copper, iron...etc).
From my experience, yes you do need to kill the mobs to "reroll" their blood %. This is especially true for those that stay in safe / enclosed area (ex: Bandit king base, Dawnbreak village chapel, Dunsley Monastery, etc)
Some doesn't really need killing because they often die during patrols (especially Gloomrot), or because they actually despawn & respawn on day-night cycle (some village workers, Dunsley market villagers, etc)
For healing potions, i believe he may refer to the better version of the salve such as: Blood rose brew (with waterskin) or Blood rose potion (with glass bottle).
You might also want to look into spell with possible healing jewels (spectral wolf, sanguine coil, etc)
For raids, i typically go for endgame resources. Mostly Gloomrot Depleted Batteries, Cursed Forest Ghost Crystal, Silverlight Silver Ore, etc. Raid time depends on whether i'm still in-game (then 2-4 hours) or i'm planning to log off for the day (8-16 hours)
The blood type you'd want is mostly Scholar & Worker, maybe also Brute for the mines.
Broken weapons comes in 2 tier:
- the one after iron (Blue, which is normally useless since you get stronger Dark Silver very soon after)
- the one after Dark Silver (Orange, which is the current endgame tier)
These weapons comes with infuses, which can synergize with your spell combinations, and bonus stats.
Personally i prefer a "Move speed" and "Spell life leech" on most of my weapon.
Guess I won’t worry too much about the broken weapons I can get rn. I’ll just build one if it looks alright.
Darksilver stuff comes in GR then right? If it’s that close.
Oh and I got a broken axe with resource collection buff. Is that better for getting normal wood than the axes I got with the 50% dmg to wood way back early on?
Oh and I wanna ask about ults for pve too? Which ones do you guys recommend? Based on my build of bone shield and chaos volley.
The Silver ore themselves will need to be taken from Silverlight area though.
That 50% damage to wood axe gets outclassed really quick because even Iron will damage trees way faster. So that resource collection broken axe is far better.
I personally forgo axe entirely and use reaper, because you can Reaper E one tree while hitting another.
For Ult most people like the:
- Heartstrike (Blood, werewolf boss), very good for killing things in a straight line. Generally considered the most powerful.
- Octavian's Ult, (Storm) Okay-ish damage and makes you invulnerable during the attack animation.
Personally i also like the:
- Eye of the Storm (Storm, Adam Ult, current final boss), Flashy and AoE, good if surrounded, but may be inaccurate.
- Fallen Angel (Unholy, Solarus Ult), Spawns a decently powerful summon for a short time, looks cool too.
I see. That answers my question of if higher tier weapons damage resource nodes more. Ig the current tier of mace I have outclasses bear form when it comes to mineral farming right?
I’ll look into the ults, thank you. Currently I’m using the second chais ult. I always start boss fights with it and it does decent I think. Like I defeated Ziva the engineer and I think it did 10% of the hp bar. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Guess I just need to test out the skills I get.
Skeleton shield is great, I suck with parries lol...honestly play what you feel zoned in with..I just..shared what I tried a bit and found to be "brainless/relaxing" to me xD.
Healing potions wise, I just meant either rat/rose, cause I used to use them only for bosses and in a stingy "if I must" kinda way, but I saw how abusive they can be actually if you just spam them like spells, for any situation pvp/trashmobs/bosses, and also the value of just keeping your high quality blood up instead of using it to heal. Just to overall save time not having to revisit areas, die, respawn, runback etc. This is really more important if you are on a pvp server tbh xD.
Servants the only tip I know as Alchosin mentioned, is go for the lowest time you can manage to spam send them, you get a lot more resources that way. I personally found myself spam sending them to paper/scroll/schematic areas, cause I just like unlocking all the decorations asap, but I dunno anything you find annoying/important to farm I guess lol.
I find the golem shield one is the "glad I had that when I needed it" button pve wise given how long the cds are, heartstrike I think is the best overall though?
