Get good or go back to normal
Well, thankfully people can just play normal if brutal is too hard. So yeah the git gud is valid.
You actually can make a tanky build work on Brutal, stuff like Shields from certain frost spells will prevent you from losing over 25% of your health in a single hit in most fights, and then you can heal back from either certain item bonuses that give leech or Brute blood.
Obviously, you cannot afford to just face tank bosses, that's not how this game works, but with this type of build you can get hit every 10 seconds or so and still win.
Right now there are difficulty controls in the game, if you solo - normal is far more challenging than it needs to be for a casual player. A single mistake may cost you half of a healthbar on normal (or death on brutal).
I'm playing the game on a controller. If you use a controller, bunch of abilities just don't work due to targeting.
Personally love brutal.
