MacOS 15.1 - Kernel Panic Loading Shaders When Relaunching (Not the Audio Issue)
Thank you to the tech team for fixing the audio crash problem, but MacOS has a new problem. When relaunching the game (for example, finishing a session, then launching the game again), the game causes a kernel panic during the Loading Shaders step of launch. This causes a system reboot, and once the rebooted the game works ok until relaunched again. The workaround is to restart the system before launching the game again.

Specs:
Mac mini M4 Pro
24 GB RAM
MacOS Sequoia 15.1

Thanks for the swift reply - crash logs sent
Quick google search points out that there is some global issue with M4s with latest OS. So I'm afraid it will be to tackle on Apple side. A lot of reports from recent days about poor stability on M4 in general.

Try this: Under settings, change Upscaling from Metal to Disabled. Your mileage may very, but so far it has worked for me on a M4 Pro Mbp.

I think it may be a Mac OS problem in general, not specific to the M4 chips, though a lot of M4 users right now are reporting it. It seems like Crossovers and a few non-gaming apps, like DaVinci Resolve, are having issues with kernel panic right now. The only common thing I can find between the reports I've seen is that the apps all lean on Metal, so that's what lead me to this conclusion.
