Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk 2

Fun City Builder, Sad Frostpunk Sequel
Can’t post reviews since the games not released yet. I do not recommend the game for fans of the series. I would give it a 3/5 on its own. 2/5 as a Frostpunk sequel.

TL;DR: If you never played Frostpunk 1 you’ll like it as a resource management city builder. If you played Frostpunk 1, it’s a sad shadow of the franchise with none of the charm the original had.

Lovely visuals and lovely soundtrack. If you never played Frostpunk 1, this game will be enjoyable. Having hundreds of hours in Frostpunk 1 though, this game is a sad step back in innovation.

From strategically place individual buildings, to a new AI based hex grid district system with no customization qualities. No more are you able to watch your pawns work around the clock. You are now faced with watching light screen blurs flash around the streets as you watch your city work at 100x speed at the slowest settings.

While there are things I love, like the new class system with your citizens that requires you to appease certain demographics to pass your laws; it feels like a dramatic downgrade to what we already have.

11 bit Studios, please delay the game. This current version will not hold a candle to Frostpunk 1. You didn’t need to reinvent your systems, but here we are.

Eactly, the should give mor poliitics to the game, just abandon city builder at all and just leave voting simulator, this is what gamers want. They finish hard day of work and want to relax in voting simulator :)
