That's not reasonable. It's legitimate for them to return to their roots.
The view of the maps are not anymore the same. The crater in Frostpunk 2 which is the New London have rifts for example, while the crater of Frostpunk 1 have not. Same with Winterhome, Winterhome map is not the same with the Winterhome style in FP1. I mean if the maps will be from now based on the FP2. For me FP2 maps style make more sense now.
But it has to be...that's what I mean.
The Hanging Rock. In Frostpunk 1 Winterhome map has the same with New London just largest. Winterhome map in FP2 is beautiful. I'm not saying the whole map, that would be impossible. But there is a whole deep hole down of Generator on Winterhome map on FP2. That's something more nice.
I have been saying this from the start. They listen to the community. FP2 have a lot of community requests that could not be implemented in FP1.
As for this:
"Moreover, scouts report that the arrival of Spring shall bring significant developments for the people of New London. They have also urged the Administration to observe a day of reflection on April 24th, in honor of the seventh anniversary of our first great expedition—an endeavor once guided by a departed leader of unwavering resolve."
I guess we now know what they meant. Lol.
To those who think FP2 will be abandoned. I highly doubt it and see this as 11bit way to start the hype for FP3. In time, we will find out what exactly the gameplay will be like for FP3 and whether everyone will like it.
But for now though, I believe the scouts will continue towards the Spectrum and Aurora DLC's in 2025 and will find their way to the 3rd DLC in 2026.
Besides, we are talking for almost 2 years later. We are just in the beginning of Frostpunk 2. Let's enjoy it. As I love Frostpunk 1 I really love Frostpunk 2 too.
