Game is not storing save files or saving my settings.
I don't know if other people are having the same problem but my saves disappear and my settings revert back to their original states.

Is there a solution to this problem or should I just refund the game?

Hi!

Please check if despite the game not recognizing your save files you can find them with the game off, and with the game tuned on in the save folder:

Your saves can be found in the following folders:
Steam version: C:\Users\***YOUR USERNAME***\AppData\Local\11bitstudios\Frostpunk2\Steam\Saved\
MS Store version: C:\Users\***YOUR USERNAME***\AppData\Local\11bitstudios\Frostpunk2\MS\Saved\SaveGames.

Once you check the folders, please get in touch with our Player Support using the contact form HERE [11bitstudios.com] and let them know about the issues you are experiencing. Please send the save files, if you will find them in your folder and your DxDiag file as well, as a crash dump or any logs that should be found here:
C:\Users\***YOUR USERNAME***\AppData\Local\11bitstudios\Frostpunk2.

To create a DxDiag file:
  • Click on Start
  • Type “DxDiag” and launch DxDiag
  • Click on “Save all information”
  • Save “Dxdiag.txt” file

Have a great day!

Same issue here. Saves stored in Frostpunk2\Epic\ though, since it's bought through Epic Games store

There are no "saves"! There is just one file there with username, that's it! This is a horrible way to store saves. I have lost so much progress, it's getting annoying. How is it possible for a game to save the progress, I can see the saved game in the load/save screen, only to lose it after you quit and relaunch? Why can't we have actual single save game files per each save? What was the point in this?
