I'm still shocked how badly you introduce the game mechanics, if at all. You know, I get told early in the game I can build a research center. Guess what? There is not ONE hint what kind of district you need to built it in.
Also, there are constant exlamation marks at my district and building menus, but NO explanation what they want to tell me. If I open the menus there is nothing that shows me what your game wants to tell me.
I'm deeply disappointed. I preordered but have just played for an hour in early access and I'm still not in the mood to play further because of such bad game design. Fun is something else.
i am exactly here . i can not build this research center !
i build city counseil but no place for this research center .... i read doc in game but not able to found about that .
so what i have to do to build it ? where to place it ?
Every district has a building slot. It's standard number is 1. You can expand a district twice to increase it's output and that will give you 1 or 2 more building slots respectively. Buildings also have to be placed in particular districts (you can't put a mine in a food district). Research center can be placed in the main district or a housing district.
This is mostly wrong.
The research institute can only go in a Housing district.
All districts start with 1 building slot EXCEPT for Housing districts, which start with 0. You can expand a Housing district up to two times, ending with 2 building slots. So you have to build a Housing district and then expand it before you will have an open slot for the Research Institute.
All other districts start with 1 building slot and can only be expanded once, which adds a second building slot.
thanks i was able to create it ! hard to know at first it was in residential :)
do you know if i can restart a particular chapter in scenario ?
for example : i pass prologue .
i do bad things next map . i want to restart but when clicking new game it bring me back to prologue ...
i quit to main menu but it take me back to a save .... even when i die or lose i can not restart ... it just bring me back to precedent save before failure
There is no chapter restart option. Make manual saves if you want to be able to restart from a certain point.
You open up the building menu and the tab that the institute is under says "housing".
You're asking all the right questions of the people who took one of the best games of all time and made it into trash. Don't expect an answer.
The good old days when the research labs could go anywhere vacant! To think I waited six years for this sequel...pathetic.
