Consistency Achivement Wording

Just saw this one looking through the achievements which reads; "Never research a building or pass a law of the opposite affinity to the one you already have"

This wording isn't 100% clear, does this mean never research a tech/pass a law that is in opposition to a specific existing one (ie. coal dust mines vs blast mines) or does it require you to pick an alignment on each axis and never deviate from it (ie start with blast mines [progress choice], now never pick any adaption tech/law ever)?

I don't have the achievement yet, but I'm quite sure it's the first meaning. "to the one you already have" refers to each single building/law. So don't research/pass the same thing twice in two different flavors. That also fits the name "consistency".

Only going in one direction of each axis would basically mean exclusively supporting one faction. That's much more radical and would have been formulated explicitly.

I just finnished the achievement and yes, you pick somathing at the start and must only enact/research things from that particular affinity. Warning, some events/scout discoveries can ruin this, so avoid them if possible.
