Be missing something, yes. Because first they have to GET the materiels and colonists there once a proper route is established using the thing that's better than roads (sorry it's eluding me at the moment!) and THEN progress starts. And if anything interrupts or cancels or turns that progress off or you suddenly lack the sufficient Frost Land teams to manage it all, you have start again.
You should a progress diamond on the colony filling up with progress. Otherwise see if something stopped it. Like a whiteout or something?
OR you've run into some bug that I've never yet encountered. Setting up colonies have been pretty cut and dry.
Set up the path.
Make sure it finishes building.
Tell the site you want to start a colony
Send it the materials and Frostland teams you require.
Watch as it completes.
Turn on your generator.
Profit.
Thank God for Gamepass, I'd be so angry if I had actually spent money on this.
Are you able to open up the colony spot interface, the city to be that refuses to build, and see what it says is going on?
I assume you already hit the start colony button. That's otherwise not clickable until you fulfill the core, material, population and frost team requirements. So you've hit that button...they march their butts over there and then just...stay idle?
Are your industrial districts still powered on with enough frostland workforce?
I am interested to see what it says when you bring up the colony interface while they're just sitting over there idle.
Something has to be wrong or missing but without visuals I couldn't say.
Might actually be a bug if nothing flat out tells you what's going on at your colony.
Not only have I tried to reload the game, I've started a new game only for it to happen again.
I've already uninstalled FP2, but I had positive materials and positive food, housing was negative predispatch but positive post dispatch, negative goods and made sure that the expedition districts remained at full from week 30 when they were sent to week 80 when I gave up. Whiteout wasn't even on the compass. It remained as "Generator is disabled" at the colony along with "Central District is under construction" for the entire time.
Redistributing workers to your expedition districts will make it work again.
