This game is literally the Engineers dilemma
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. They could have just taken the first game and expanded on story/mechanics or whatever. Why basically change the genre? Who asked for this?

For example,I hope the next souls game has fighting aliens in a starhip with RTS elements and make it point and click /s . It just makes no sense

There's not much strategy when each city is exactly the same with their own identical resources each play. Only thing that isn't a copy paste strat from game to game is the varying Frost Lands. But even then it's just 'Do I want these extra resources now or later?' Or when to take on an extra 2500 people.

Can comfortably say I've finished the game and no longer want to play after about 30 hours. Just going to be the same thing over and over.

Actually thought I would have to find where each city was on the map each time. Nope, same spots every time.

There's still *a* strategy. It might not be varied, but most strategies aren't. Even in Grand Strategy games it always boils down to metas.

And that's okay. 30 hours of gameplay is honestly really good for any game. I 100%'d FP2 in about 60-ish hours, and have since played nearly an extra 30-40 hours.
