There's an answer to every problem in this game if you pay attention and look in the right places, which in this case are several places.
Does it matter where I connect them to as long as they are somehow connected to main city?
Only one per. You can't "Stack" Skylines. You can only improve them through further research and laws.
As long as they connect to any other skyline 'post' or harvesting/settlement point that also has a skyline going to the city, then that's all you need.
This was a fun read, Haha. I also didn't know why I couldn't transfer more than 250. But I figured by thinking that trail gives 250 which means this 250 is related to that 250. So, I must build a skyway between the two. Tutorial in this game needs overhaul.
