can't upgrade a settlement. Need a "skyway" tutorial doesn't seem to explain.

I need to upgrade a settlement, but it demands a skyway. Bit lost. Anyone willing to give a rundown?

In your Research Tree there is a Frostland tab, Skyways are in there. Research the right things and those should then be available allowing you to connect skyways instead of paths (dont forget to toggle) and then further upgrade settlements.

Building skyways cost more but extend longer. Keep in mind that Building over rough terrain drastically reduces how far it goes so try and find optimal paths through flat terrain. It will likely cost you less.

It's not very clear and it's what made me restart my first run, but there are multiple tabs for research. They're hidden at the top of the screen.

I agree it's easy to miss the several research tabs.

A lot of things are hidden at the edges of the screen in this game- research tabs, "explore laws" button when the council is not in session etc.
