Make promise - Build certain building - destroyed it months later and still got mad
My 2nd play of the campaign nearly got ended because I use a lot of the "Make Promise" event to increase relation because why not, I was planning to build them anyway so might as well get the extra trust.

The problem is when I made building like Sawmill or Hothouse and have the resource pile run out 6-12 months later so I destroyed them cause it's literally useless. Then suddenly they got mad, like buddy, I get it if I cheese it by building it and immediately destroyed it, but this is like a very long time ago.

And I think how it's done is rather than having the game adding one count to "X number of Y building you promise", the game tag the one specific building that fulfilled the promise as a sacred buidling. Because one time people were mad because I destroyed a Deep Melting Drill but when I check all of the unlimited pile district every one of them has Deep Melting Drill.

Yes happened to me a lot of times as well. I consider this to be a bug. I remember promising an Untreated Sawmill building demolishing it after like 300 weeks and they STILL got mad. These are very annoying events.

They'd have to come up with how to address it, but at the very least, it should not be counted against you to demolish if the resources runs out - a quick solution...

otherwise, if you replace it with another building of the same faction, well, they're probably reasonable enough to accept that... they're probably not partisans of just the one thing.... that would be a small minority....

Honestly the fix is very simple. Just add a counter on how long the building have exist since fulfilling the promise, and once the counter pass (let's say 30 weeks) it would cancel the angry event.

Or just discard any such promise for any extraction building on depleted resources nodes.

Yeah I would like to see this added. Maybe 6 months?

Hello everyone! :overseers:
Many thanks for reporting this.
I just wanted to let you know that we are looking into some different scenarios related to this particular case. We will investigate those further and see if anything could or should be changed when it comes to factions' / communities' behaviours after buildings are demolished after depletion.
Worry not, we are on the case.
And once again, thank you for your feedback.

So you've been looking into this but it didn't make it into the big patch? :/

Also affecting me; honestly think it's just bugged. No idea why the notification keeps appearing despite never promising this much
