Why are you making a frostpunk mobile game without a Soul?
Interesting fact: I don't know if you know, but a separate company makes frostpunk but it is not large and has aggressive microtransactions, please explain

Yes this is why frostpunk 2 as civliisation political clone is business move. Everything You love about frostpunk 1 is pushed to mobile game with pay to win model, there You ca still build buildings and tap like crazy on screen to get more coal. The decided that civilisation clone will potentially bring them more sales like 11 million, because they thnink 3 million for frostpunk 1 is the max what they can achive. But I think both games will underperform. Frostpunk 2 will not reach big sales, it will not be a flop but I would be suprised to make bgger sales than first one.

`Civilization 6 with fill in buildings is not the core meaning of Civilization. The core of civilization is it's basic little cities. It has simplistic politics, and unique wonders. I am absolutely baffled that you are defining the civilization series by it's overwhelmingly simplistic politics.

The Zoning of FP2 is more comparable to simcity even though I would never make such a comparison. Your idea of what defines the Civilization Genre is based on a single particular feature of the game that came into play after Civ 4, and is almost certainly not it's core.

It's implication from their interviews. Specificly Escaping the loop part https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/news/frostpunk-2-exclusive-interview-leave-your-fingerprint-on-a-frozen-world, they want to scale as studio to publisher, so they can't make desicions that move them into wider auditory.

I played Simcity as a child and briefly even recently, what the ♥♥♥♥ city builder are you playing that I cannot also like Age of Wonders 4 and Frostpunk 2 because they have larger scale and some kind of vaguely shared genre or element with Civilization 5 or 6.

That is crazy to alienate your fanbase like that. I think it's done to give them more monetisation options

Not really crazy, everybody gonna dream. Pray they're successful and try to gather support for "Frostpunk Simcity Skylines". They already did Frostpunk 1. I haven't finished it, but lotta people done with that.
