Will it run natively on steam deck / linux?

Hi,
will Frostpunk 2 run natively on steam deck and linux? I stopped using windows for some years now and only play on linux. The first game had really nice reviews but I didn't buy it because it was not availible for linux.

Frostpunk should work fine on Linux using Proton.

I didn't realise I owned fp on steam and downloaded the gog version(it's free on amazon prime gaming right now) in Lutris last night, it ran on max settings without a hitch.

check protondb for game compatibility, Also you can get a refund if you purchase something and it doesn't work.

Running games with Photo has a performance penalty. Frostpunk 1 on Linux burns my PC and slow at medium settings. While it used to run fine with max settings on Windows. Same as other games.

That's why I only purchase games that can run on Linux itself.

It's 2022 now, Windows should no longer the only supported OS.

Very unlikely, 11 Bit Studios turned their backs on Linux years ago. That's why I stopped supporting them, you should do the same.

They changed the graphics engine, in my opinion Frostpunk 2 will be compatible with the Steam Deck.
