Multiplayer Problem

Hey,

my 2 friends and I often play this game and they can always join and stay in the multiplayer.
Now my brother joined, but after a few minutes or from the beginning he is kicked or disconnected from the lobby during the run.

If he then wants to rejoin, it doesnt work, short black screen and then he is alone in his lobby and not in our multiplayer lobby.

We also tested that he opens a lobby and we join, also doesnt work.
I hope somebody knows help or the team of the game fix this by the next update :/

I've had this happen here and there. Eventually if you keep repeatedly trying to join it works. Give it a couple of attempts

tried it multiple times and it still never worked

I tried the same. We made the lobby public which solved it.

i got the same problem, making the lobby public still doesn't help

My group was having the same problem. What controller do you guys use, once my group stopped using Xbox Series X/S controllers the disconnecting problem stopped. We now use # PS4 controllers and 1 PS5. We don't know if its a cable problem, a usb problem, or something else. We just know that changing up the controllers solved our problem.

I think that this page is about a different error. I was using both keyboard and an Xbox 360 controller, and neither produced any difference. My problem was mainly disconnecting from someone else's lobby and being unable to rejoin, even with a different type of input. I think this falls more under networking than hardware.

I had this and it went away when I switched from a controller to keyboard. My controller has bad connection to pc and I believe the game treats controller connection issue same as server connection issues

Update controller firmware

After update, remove controller from devices and then re-find/add it

Then update BT, especially if using a dongle that is not the M$ brand dongle

Disconnecting from a lobby and just losing controller input are 2 completely unrelated problems. When the controller disconnects, you can still see and are on the lobby.
