At launch, Lost Ark was a thrilling experience—gorgeous visuals, fluid combat, and the promise of an expansive MMO world. But as you progress, that excitement quickly fades behind an exhausting grind and an aggressive paywall.

The game eventually demands that you juggle multiple characters—often three or more—just to keep up with progression. Content is locked behind repetitive chores, time-gated systems, and gear upgrades that feel more punishing than rewarding.

What started as a promising adventure devolves into a treadmill designed to consume your hours—or your wallet. If you're not willing to dedicate your life to the game or swipe your credit card, progress slows to a crawl.

A game with this much potential shouldn’t feel like a second job. Sadly, Lost Ark is a prime example of how overengineered grind and monetization can ruin what could’ve been an MMO masterpiece.

If I wanted to play a slot machine I'd go to Vegas. This could of been a masterpiece but once again obscene greed ruins everything.
