save your time, dont play this game

It doesn't feel like the devs made this game for new players. I heard about the awful monetized end game and was reserving judgement for that until I got there, but I don't think I'll ever get there. These are my main complaints:

1. The game is laughably easy, so it's hard to stay focused enough to play because it just isn't engaging. I found one dungeon during the story five hours in that had good mob density and a boss at the end, but that was over in two minutes and I returned to the mediocre slog that is the over world. I love this style of game, but when I play Lost Ark I'm just bored.

2. The sense of progression is meaningless. I was rationing my silver use to buy equipment from the store in the starter town, then opened a daily reward for playing the game and I suddenly had three million silver. Which might be neat on an alt, but now it's just one less thing I care about. I'm sure end game players would see this and laugh at how little 3 million is, but when my silver goes from 3000 to 3.2 million, any silver a monster drops at my level is now effectively zero. Not even worth my time to kill things, which leads to my next complaint.

3. Killing enemies rewards barely any experience and an occasional health potion that will never be used. It's much better to just rush past enemies to get the quest reward that is worth 200x more. Even the quests that require killing things are like "go kill three of those things over there." And you're done in 10 seconds moving on to the next quest. It's silly that there does not seem to be any incentives to actually kill things.


I had hoped that the journey to the end game would be better. I wouldn't say the story is bad. It's decent enough so far. The game is just so easy that it's not fun. I thought about just pushing through to get to the harder parts, but that is also the infamous pay to win endgame. I figured I could also just play a different game and have fun with another game instead.

This game is bad.
Devs dont listen. Super Mega P2W.
Raids and Combat 10/10 - only 1 reason to play this game.
T4 is really changed this game with more P2W stuff...
I dont recommend anybode to play Lost ark. PLS Avoid this game.
Amazon Game Studio is super incompetent about their game.
