Think of it like a 'bank'
The personal storage is only available to the character you are using.
The Roster Storage is used across all your characters.
If you put something in Roster storage another different character of yours will be able to see it and access it.
There is no charge to maintain your 'bank'.
You will eventually if not already end up with your very own stronghold and a song to use to transport yourself there. There will be access to your bank at your stronghold too.
There are no corners nor hidden shadows where you could not spend your money on somethin'!
Ever feel you are out of space? No? Just not yet, my friend!
Solution lays in ya pocket!
In our next episode, we will meet the cards and their limited storage.
Ahahah, I lied. Card storage can be expanded, so all cards can be stored, worry not..
...
Spoilers alert! It costs money
This might come as a shock to some but you don't actually have to spend any real world money at all.
Those items in the shop like more bank storage or more card storage can also be 'bought' using ingame currency and that way you don't have to spend any of your hard earn't cash.
Some people like to sensationalise things. A lie of omission is still a lie and in my opinion makes people making those claims untrustworthy.
Take your time. Those daily log-in rewards add up quick. ^^
Thanks for everything btw :3
Yes, it is true! It works just like in Real Life.
You do not need to pay money in Real Life either, no one forces you to do.
You just won't have.. new shoes. Or food. Depending on your needs..
If you thought the guy said "you can have those without paying", then I have to disappoint you. You cannot have those without paying. He simply meant, you don't need to pay money to play the game.
So be disappointed. You have all rights to be. Don't stop being disappointed.
You never ever will have the gold to buy anything for the auction house with the play style you have chosen. You barely will have enough to level up your characters. You will get gatekept very soon and all your current hope and excitement will quickly fade into oblivion. We all were there once.
Do I talk sh*t about Paladins?
-Yes
Did I enjoy most of my playtime?
-Yes
It's the opposite here. You are the experienced Lost Ark player and I'm the innocent beginner.
OP you can trust that NPC that's your storage. You don't need to buy more slots and if you do need you can at some point use gold to buy more storage honestly it's never needed to do so. You also have a 2nd page or other characters to store more stuff.
Everything in this game is attainable by playing the game imagine that. The only time that you aren't able to get something by playing the game is some random weapon skin or some character select background skin.
A tip don't skip on trade skills you can make a lot of gold selling fish for example or other materials like excavation, etc.
But yeah even skins you can buy with in game gold.
When you get to end game (Legion Raids) I would highly recommend joining the Discord LOA Learning/LFG I don't know which region you play on. To try to join learning parties and maybe find a static party to progress together. gl hf o/
I am actually a free to play player of this game with my own opinion and experience of this game.
I've spent decent amount of time on this game to have a decent opinion as a f2p player with the exceptions of a f2p player.
It is not "hate agenda", it is personal experience, coming from a player who started the game as a newbie without ever paying a single penny.
And I can assure anyone, this game is a time sucker and not reward anyone for their time spent onto it.
As lots of players already have mentioned, this game feels as a second job next to your primary one, which is not the definition of "fun" in my book.
Everything is built around FOMO, which is also not "fun".
The combat is fun, classes are awesome, but everything else is a chore.
The pure misleading is saying everything is nice and dandy with this game, when it clearly is not.
There is not worse guide than a white knight.
Look at everything you are typing right now (and on your first post) that had nothing to do with the OP's question. He was simply asking about the NPC storage. Your answer to him is you have to pay real money if you want more slots. You didn't said that you can buy everything with gold. (which wasn't even the main point of the OP's question)
So what's your problem? If someone that doesn't know anything about the game and reads your post they go and think that everything is locked behind real money. That's being disingenuous.
On another note. I don't feel FOMO. Many weeks I didn't do legion raids on alts because I didn't feel like it. Same with CD/GR rested I let them waste. There's no FOMO. That's only on you. People need to stop playing '6' mains. You can play 1-2 characters just fine and progress just fine. You are showered with mats more than one character can make use of it. Anyways this is off topic like your post was.
