What regions will we support?

Amazon Games will be publishing Lost Ark in the following regions:

Lost Ark will be available in North America and Europe.

This includes:

CANADA, MEXICO, UNITED STATES*, ALAND ISLANDS (FINLAND), ALBANIA, ANDORRA, AUSTRIA, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, BULGARIA, CROATIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, FAROE ISLANDS (Denmark), FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GIBRALTAR (UK), GREECE, GUERNSEY (UK), HOLY SEE, HUNGARY, ICELAND, IRELAND, ISLE OF MAN (UK), ITALY, JERSEY (UK), KOSOVO, LATVIA, LIECHTENSTEIN, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, MALTA, MONACO, MNE, NORTH MACEDONIA, NORWAY, POLAND, PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, SAN MARINO, SERBIA, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SPAIN, SVALBARD & JAN MAYEN (Norway), SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TURKEY, UNITED KINGDOM

*The Unites States does include support for:
Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean Sea, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands in the North Pacific Ocean, and American Samoa in the South Pacific.

We provide Steam a list of approved regions and through the Steam platform sales and game accessibility are restricted to only those regions.

We understand there are additional regions that are excited and eager to play Lost Ark. However, the list above represents the regions that we have the publishing rights to. Thank you for understanding.

if the region is not supported, the game will "just" be unbuyable for the steam account who are in theses region, or even if we have the game in our steam library, we can't play it because we are not in a "good" region ?

VPN or no game for you. You can thank your politicians for that. Amazon won't be interested in making a special version for three countries.

its all about profit for AGS, i live in middle east and many korean mmos simply skip my region and we never get our own release which means we never get a chance to play these games since we're region locked from EU version too. when it comes to korean mmos always expect the worst: p2w/region lock/game being bad

Well I had the same thing with Black Desert, but they did eventually release it for the Turks and i could get that one, so I really shouldn't be surprised, but this game is Free to Play so you would think anyone other than a bunch of complete idiots would love to see it spread as far as possible, it's not like steam doesn't convert my money to dollars for everything else i buy from them. Maybe Koreans are just that stupid

I am completely frustrated by these licensing conditions. We can access other Steam games and online games already, simply by connecting to European and American servers. We understand the higher latencies and we have managed to play under these conditions for many years.

Yes, ultimately it would be amazing to get Servers in South Africa, but let's face it, it may not have the support base numbers to warrant the infrastructure costs associated with setting up and maintaining live gaming servers.

We are not asking for servers in Africa. We just want access to Lost Ark through Steam (or Amazon) to be able to play on the Europe and American servers, as per the Blizzard, Steam and other game hosting service providers.

As far as I am aware, there are NO legal issues within South African law that will cause issues to Steam or Amazon. We can already buy products on and through both service providers.

Regarding the licensing conditions with the South Korean company, I highly doubt that they will or that they even intend to release the game to the African or South African markets. Please engage with them to include South Africa into the list of Steam approved countries for Lost Ark.

Unnofficially, Oceanic guilds seem to have chosen NA West - Valtan as their destination

You know, since we never got any of our own servers :(

Erm... there are countries missing in the post that are shown in the https://www.playlostark.com/en-us/game/faq

For example my country Cyprus is missing from here but it shows in the FAQ on the link above.

Also doesn't seem like they can be bothered updating it with South America and oceania. It's ok, only like 500 million people in the two regions. Sure Amazon won't mind.
