Frogs *should* return to the nearest spring automatically at daybreak so long as you aren't too near that spring. Can I have you try setting up a lean-to at a nearby spring, and waiting through the night there, then return and see if the frog is freed?

Thanks for the reply! I started a new random map so I cannot verify this method however in this new save the frog got stuck under a teleportation platform. Rested at the lean-to near a spring and it didn't work, was able to use the "pick up" option by standing really close to it

Hmm, that's strange.. I'm glad you were able to retrieve the frog, though!

Resting at a distance (far enough away that the chunk isn't loaded) should cause the frog to teleport back to the nearest spring at daybreak, so if that isn't working please report a bug!
