where the heck do i find granite?

I've searched for hours in each area trying to find granite, both digging up glowing spots and breaking rocks. if anyone knows where to find it please, tell me! I'm trying to 100% the game.

I found a lot of mine buried in the canyons.. actually all the granite I have I got from rocks in the canyons.
