Life shaping problems.

So I have technically unlocked "life-shaping" but I can not understand how it is done for the life of me, even from the written descriptions out there ( pun intended) . Can someone please post or send me a video on how they do it? Or multiple screenshots would work too. I also find it extra confusing that the symbol for Life Shaping in the achievements is also the same symbol for hibernation?... Which is confusing considering they are two very different actions. Please Help!?

Lifeshaping allows you to create hybrid plants by interacting with them with a compatible seed in your inventory.

For example, you could create a Pink Lily by interacting with a Red Lily plant, and using a White Lily Flower from the interaction menu.
