Stuck on something really dumb: How do I plant the seed?

It says press S but the keybinding are s to go backwards. So i have made my workbench and have my stick and spade but cant plant the seed in the tutorial.......LOL

What am I doing wrong?.......lol

In case you haven'r figured it out within the last hour: Open your inventory with b then click on the seed and press s

That took me some time too tbh...
If you're like me then this will save you confusion later on (I only figured it out during my second playthrough lol): if you find a scroll then you can read it by pressing Q.

I am yet to try this yet, game controls usually take me a few minutes to work out and about 20 minutes play time to get comfortable with. But I have some things on today, when I get back I will give this a try. Sounds confusing if i have to do this all the time........

Sorry for the late response on this one!

To plant a seed, you need to open your backpack with "B", then click the seed you want to plant and press "S". This will put you in planting mode, where you'll be able to move to where you want the seed planted and then click left mouse button to plant the seed.

Really sorry for the confusion! We'll have another look at keybinds and the tutorial explanations.

Do note that in some cases "plant seed" will be greyed out.
I did not notice so dropped the seed for my wife to try and she could not plant either.
You need fresh seeds and not dried ones.
