Picked up dead giant dunegrass, forgot about it, now it's gone?!
I'm looking for giant and wild dunegrass for that spirit/ghost quest, and actually found one dead giant dunegrass plant where another thread suggested. Picked it up to move it home for eventual revival, but got distracted by exploration on the way (...). Back home I had totally forgotten about it at first- UNTIL i had picked up another plant and was like: "wait a minute..."
So now the grass is gone from the spot, where i had found it, and i didn't get the plant, but neither a seed (no digging spot close by). Help! That was the only giant dunegrass I have encountered so far...
Also, other question: Do plants die at the end of their lifespan? Do I have to worry about regularly replanting the smaller plants?

Oh no!
I'm so sorry to hear that this happened - This sounds like a bug.. I'll note it down, but there's nothing we can do to recover that plant.
If you aren't able to find any more giant dunegrass, you are welcome to send us your save file, and I'll find some giant dunegrass for you!

You can find your world save here:
"C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Muse Games\Wildmender\worlds", or from in game: "Settings" > "Gameplay" > "Open Data Directory" at the bottom.

Just zip the "WildmenderWorld#" folder and send it and the player.log to us at feedback@musegames.com

To your second question, plants won't die at the end of their lifespan, but they will produce seeds less and less often. If you need a lot of a particular type of seed, you may have to keep planting new seeds.

Hope this helps!

ha, that was quick, you folks are great! (as the rumor has it) Thanks for the savegame location, might be handy otherwise, but I just saw that email-address on the other thread, where you can get a map (would that also be where to send the savefile?)... I might try that first, and continue to inspect suspicious dunegrass bushels more closely meanwhile :D The info on "elderly plant behavior" is useful, too, thanks so much!
I'm really having a blast with Wildmender, I'm learning so much on the go, like, I accidentally figured out crossbreeding and was SO pleased <3
