Why is there always an evil spirit near me, as if it follows me? When I look at it, it runs away. Hit him and it disappears. Also, why are evil spirit attacks triggered so frequently?

Yeah that evil spirit is meant to keep an eye on you but harmless. For the attack frequency, it's generally time based, with a bit of random variations. If they are too annoying and you would just like to enjoy gardening more, you can go into difficulty settings in the pause menu to adjust their spawning and damage etc. Hope this helps!
