How to find a Pangolin?

All right - so we restarted on a custom map because it seemed more exciting, but I can't seem to locate a pangolin on this map at all. I really would like one puttering around in our garden.

Will they exist on all maps? Any suggestions on how to locate one?

I'm confused as well. I found a burrow out in the wild, i have a treat but... I'm not able to find the Pangolin itself. And interacting with the burrow doesn't do anything.

Well, you should have the Pangolin's cookies first.
Then, I think you have already found Pangolin cave.
Be patient to wait for Pangolin awake or back to its cave.

Sometimes they are hidden within the cave and you have to move your targeting dot around to show it's outline.. then you can give it the treat. or you can wait for it to step out.
