Breeding different types of plants?

Hi,
Can someone help me? I have no idea how to breed different plant. I tried to plant different seed types of the same plant in a planter.

If the two types of plants can make a crossbreed, and are near each other, there is a chance that a new hybrid seed will be produced by each plant when it is ready to make a seed

Hello. I planted plants close together (in the flower bed) and crosses came out. unfortunately not yet the one for the quest but other varieties. So it works if they stand close together

For the quests, your quest log will show what seeds/plants you need to breed together :)
